Generator
Looking for a Tri Fuel Generator?
There aer many reasons why a Tri Fuel Generator might come
in handy. Perhaps you live in an area which is
constantly under threat of tornados or hurricanes and you
want to make sure you’ll have a power source should
something like that hit. Then again, maybe you’re just
really into camping and you would like to have a few
luxuries when you’re out in the wilderness.
Whatever the case may be, a good Tri Fuel
Generator would suit you well as they are one of the top
brands out there when it comes to portable generators.
If you’re not sure which model to get, I’m going to briefly
go over a few of the most popular models at different price
ranges so that you can find one that fits your preferences
as well as your budget:
1. NorthStar Tri Fuel
Generator 390cc, 8000 Surge Watts, 6600 Rated
Watts
Specs:
• Dimensions L,W,H (inches): 31, 23,
22
• Engine: Honda
• HP: 13
• Fuel Type: Gasoline, liquid petroleum gas or natural
gas
• Number of Receptacles: 5
This is a generator that starts right up
easily the first time. It’s priced at about $2,000
which is pretty good considering what you get and
considering the other generators in the same price
range. You can probably find cheaper generators, but
you’re not going to find ones that are of as good quality as
this one with as many features. This will allow you to
have a constant stream of fuel going without heading to the
gas station every single day.
Do make sure that you get a wheel kit
installed for this though, it is something you have to
purchase separately, but you’re going to want to get it so
you can easily move it around, it’s pretty much a
necessity.
One thing about this is that it’s not as
quiet as some other motors are, but it is ½ the price and
you get a consistant AC current.
2. NorthStar Tri Fuel
Generator 614cc, 13,000 Surge Watts, 10,500 Rated
Watts
Specs:
• Dimensions L,W,H (inches): 36 x 24
x 26
• Engine: Honda GX620 OHV
• Fuel Type: Gasoline, Propane, or Natural Gas
• Number of Receptacles: 7
• Noise Level(dB): 79
Here’s a very reliable power generator
likely due to it’s Honda motor, no problems starting this up
either. This comes with a 20 horsepower engine opposed
to 13 which makes this quite a bit louder than the previous
model so that may be a downside. This one will run you
about $3,000, you’ll only want to get this one instead of
the previous one if you need more power like for a
commercial job site rather than just home use.
